Narrative
All ideas must have a layered story with universal resonance. Stories that are capable of engaging a global audience.
Angle
Stories with an urgent or unique angle. Unique access to archive, characters and/or locations.
Relevance
We encourage projects that draw inspiration from current global affairs and have the potential to reach a wide audience, both in terms of the story's impact and its reach.
Over the span of 5 years, SV DOCS will award €1M in development funding to high-quality documentaries aimed at reaching a global audience, featuring stories rooted in thorough (investigative) journalistic research.
